海外協定校 Tacoma Community Collegeの学長が本学を表敬訪問

2024年1月17日（水）、国際観光学部の長期留学先のひとつであるアメリカのタコマコミュニティーカレッジより学長はじめ3名が、本学を表敬訪問されました。
タコマコミュニティカレッジは、アメリカ太平洋岸北西部ワシントン州、シアトルから35分ほど南に位置する州立の大学で、2022年度は７名の学生が留学しました。

On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, the President of Tacoma Community College, one of the long-term study abroad destinations of the Faculty of Global Tourism and management, visited Osaka Seikei University. Tacoma Community College is located 35 minutes south of Seattle in the state of Washington in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S.
Seven students from Osaka Seikei Univesity studied abroad at Tacoma Community College in 2022.

同大学から、アイバン・ハラル 学長、ジェームズ・ニューマン 国際プログラム・エグゼクティブディレクター、ヒロ・黒岩・ルイス アソシエイトディレクターが訪れ、本学からは石井理事長・総長、中村学長、国枝副学長、坂井教授、教育研究支援本部 岡崎統括本部長、小田国際交流センター職員が出迎えました。

Dr. Ivan Harrell, President, James Newman, Executive Director of International Programs, and Hiro Kuroiwa-Lewis, Associate Director came to Osaka Seikei University from Tacoma Community College.

当日は、同大学に留学経験のある3名の学生と懇談したのち、covid -19下での大学運営や今後の留学プログラム制度の充実などについて意見交換し、その後駅前キャンパスでキャンパスツアーを行いました。
今回の表敬訪問により、本学とタコマコミュニティーカレッジとのより一層の交流の強化が期待されます。

They then met three students who have studied abroad at Tacoma Community College.
After that the Osaka Seikei University Chairman, President and Directors had the opportunity to discuss about the colleges’ operations during the COVID-19 pandemic and the future enhancement of the study abroad program system for both universities. Following the discussion, our staff gave them a campus tour.
We hope to further strengthen the relationship between Tacoma Community College and Osaka Seikei University and look forward to further academic exchanges.
